Namchi, 3rd October (IPR): As a part of Aspirational Block Programme (ABP) Sankalp Saptaah, a week-long programme for aspirational blocks commenced at namchi block from today onwards.
Each day of the Sankalp Saptaah, from October 3 to October 9, is dedicated to a specific development theme on which all aspirational blocks will work.
The themes for the first six days include ‘Sampoorna Swasthya’, ‘Suposhit Pariwaar’, ‘Swachhta’, ‘Krishi’, ‘Shiksha’, and ‘Samridhi Diwas’. The last day of the week i.e. October 9, 2023, will be a celebration of the work conducted during the entire week, as ‘Sankalp Saptaah – Samavesh Samaroh’.
In connection with the theme the Health and Wellness Centre (HWC) organised health melas to observe the Sankalp Saptaah. The activities that were conducted are Ante Natal Check-Ups (ANC), Tuberculosis Screening, Non-communicable diseases screening (NCD), Anemia test, routine immunization (RI), if needed. The health meal was done in a total of 10 HWC in and around the block.
