Chairperson of IPRD Mr Ashit Rai, Visits District Office in Namchi

Upon his arrival, Mr Ashit Rai was warmly received by District Information Officer (DIO) Ms Deepti Pradhan, along with the staff members of Namchi IPRD.

The visit served as a meaningful engagement between the Chairperson and the departmental team in Namchi.

During his interaction, Mr Ashit Rai conveyed his sincere gratitude to the Chief Minister, Mr Prem Singh Tamang (Golay), for placing his trust in him with the responsibility to serve the state. He also took the opportunity to engage with the staff members, acknowledging and appreciating their dedication and contributions to the department’s continuing efforts.

As part of the visit, he conducted an inspection of the IPR Office building, including the photo gallery cum library. He commended on IPR Namchi’s efforts in maintaining the gallery and expressed appreciation for the thoughtful presentation of the space.

In addition, he proposed that similar art galleries could be established in IPR offices across other districts, with the aim of promoting and preserving visual documentation and artistic expression.

This visit to Namchi marks the fourth phase of his official tour of the districts. Mr Ashit Rai shared details of his previous visits to Geyzing, Soreng, and Pakyong. The tour is expected to conclude with a final visit to Mangan District on 31 July.
