Closing Ceremony of Jal Utsav Under NITI Aayog’s Aspirational Block Programme at Namchi District.
Namchi, November 21 (IPR): The closing ceremony of ‘Jal Utsav,’ a campaign under NITI Aayog’s Aspirational Block Programme was held at District Administrative Centre, Namchi, today.
The event was graced by Ms Anupa Tamling DC Namchi, Ms Tirsang Tamang ADC Namchi, Mr Nim Pintsho Bhutia SDM(HQ),Dr SN Adhikari CMO Namchi, Mr Upendra Rai BDO Namchi, Mr Krishna Bdr Manger Panchayat President Mamley GPU alongwith officials of line departments, school teachers and students.
Addressing the gathering, DC Namchi congratulated all stakeholders and other participants on the campaign’s successful completion. She lauded their efforts in executing NITI Aayog plans and programmes, and asked them to work together with zeal for a positive outcome in the district. She also asked the stakeholders to emulate their success in other blocks of the district.
She also urged the concerned officials and the panchayats to aware the farmers about the agricultural schemes like Pradhan Matri Fasal Bima Yojana, and insure their crops through Common Service Centre (CSC) that is established at Village Administrative Centres.
Ms Trisang Tamang ADC Namchi briefed about the schemes and programmes implemented by various departments under Aspirational Block Programme (ABP).
Furthermore, Mr Upendra Rai BDO presented the status, achievements and activities that was carried out in the block during the Jal Utsav.
He also mentioned about the appointment of 20 Nal Jal Mitra for assisting with water management in the GPUs under the block.
Ms Methila Rai Aspirational Block Fellow talked about the objectives of the key criterias for ranking GPUs under ABP.
She mentioned that Damthang GPU was felicitated for achieving in most of Key Performance Indicator (KPI)of the five sectors.
Inaddition, she also discussed about the priorities and strategy based on the KPI to improve the ranking of all GPUs falling under Namchi Block .
During the event, the District Administration also felicitated Mr Pranay Chettri, Mr Sandeep Manger and Mr Nowel Chettri who secured first, second and third position respectively in Jal Utsav Run (Mens Category),
Similarly, Ms Sangchula Bhutia, Ms Akansha Thapa and Ms Ashmi Manger who stood first, second and third respectively in the women category were also felicitated.
It maybe mentioned here that the Jal Utsav was celebrated from November 6th to November 20th, wherein a series of activities and programmes were conducted by the line departments to observe the Jal Utsav.
