Co –ordination meeting of NDZP and all GPUs of Ravongla BAC

Namchi, 27th September: A co –ordination meeting of NDZP and all GPUs of Ravongla BAC was held at Conference hall of Ravongla BAC on 26th September under the chairmanship of the Hon’ble Adhyaksha NDZP and co chaired by the Hon’ble Upa- Adhyaksha NDZP.
To make this co ordination meeting successful all the Hon’ble ZTC Members, Sabhapati and Upa- Sabhapati of Sangmoo Rankey,Tinkitam Rayong, Legship Hingdam, Rabong barfong,BarfongZarong, Rabong Khop, Kewzing Bakhim, Borong Phamtam and Ralong Namlung accompanied by the ward panchayat president, members, ADC Development Rabong, BDO Rabong and A.D. , J.E, PI social welfare and PI Rabong BAC and all the office staffs.
The meeting started with the welcome address by BDO Ravongla followed by the felicitation of Safai Karmacharis and distribution of work orders.
After the formal introduction of all the members 9 GPUs and ZTC members the discussion focused on the functioning of the GPUs, staff status, previous plans passed by the Gram Sabha, fund provisions and execution of works. The meeting also discussed on the issues and grievances/ challenges faced by the GPUs such as non receipt of 5th SFC/15FC and Panchayat Discretionary fund, training essential for GPDP on Ward and GPU level, delay of MGNREGA material supply, some GPU are in lack of proper office information and co – ordination amongst them, garbage disposal issues at some GPUs, construction requirement of new GPK Bhawan and pending of establishment cost for Ravong- Barfong GPU etc.
It is also made aware in the house that some of the GPUs are working with innovative approach such as opening an account of all the child of particular GPU@1000/- that will be matured at the age of 18 with interest, running of de-addiction centre, making foot wares branded as “Paila” at their GPU
With the intervention by Hon’ble Adhyaksha, Upa- adhyaksha, ADC Dev. and BDO the following resolutions were made.
1. All the works sanctioned and work order issued by BAC/GPU is to be intimated to the ZTC member for information and reciprocated.
2. All the GPU must update the present working mechanism and get well informed of all the statistical information ready to be disbursed at any point of time.
3. A proper demand letter and land documentation is to be compiled from Rabong Barfong GPU for the demand of new GPK Bhawan to the higher authority.
4. All the GPUs must set up an Office for the ZTC members at their respective GPKs for proper relay of information and necessary assistance of NDZP whenever required.
5. At the end key notes Hon’ble Adhyaksha appealed to all that accountability is to be maintained in every respect ether social or official and serve the people of Sikkim at once optimum potential. She finally invited all the Hon’ble members of 9 GPUs to 3 day Panchayat Sammelan – 2023 that is going to take place w.e.f 6th Oct. to 8th October 2023.
The meeting ended at 5:10 PM with the vote of thanks by Panchayat Inspector, Ravongla BAC.
