Coordination Meeting for International Yoga Day

Namchi, 3rd June (IPR): Ahead of the International Day of Yoga (IDY) to be celebrated on June 21, a co-ordination meeting was held at District Administrative Centre, today. The meeting was chaired by DC (Namchi) Mr. M. Bharani Kumar along with SSP (Namchi) Mr. K. L. Tenzing and HoDs from different line departments.
Addressing, the meeting Mr. M. Bharani Kumar highlighted about the various agendas for the successful organization of Yoga day. He informed the officials of the line departments to prepare for their roles and responsibilities in an efficient manner, leading the IDY event in which various dignitaries will participate and perform yoga with the public at large at Bhaichung Stadium. Various details like arrangements of buses to ferry the students and participants, arrange Yoga sessions in 75 prominent schools of the state, ensure participation of School and College students from in and around Namchi as to inculcate a healthy lifestyle, manage traffic, arrange Police Band for National Anthem was discussed in detail. Additionally, many other pertinent work that the line departments need to undertake was also specified. Moreover, DC Mr. Bharani urged the officials to work in an integrated manner and avoid setback in the celebration.
