DC Chairs Meeting with Nodal Officers for 2024 Bye-Election

Namchi, 18th October 2024 (IPR): Ms Anupa Tamling DC Namchi convened a meeting with the designated Nodal Officers to strategize for the upcoming bye-election 2024 for the 11 Namchi-Singhithang Assembly Constituency (AC).
During the meeting, the DC discussed the need for effective manpower management, advocating for the recruitment of capable personnel from various departments. She stressed the need for timely training and guidance to prepare the staff for their roles during the election.
The key topics discussed included vehicle deployment, Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) management, law and order maintenance, expenditure monitoring, accommodation arrangements, media certification and monitoring committee (MCMC) among others.
Further, the DC stressed adherence to guidelines set by Election Commission of India (ECI), advising all officers to remain vigilant throughout the electoral process.
Additionally, the first randomisation of the EVMs is slated for October 22.
