DC Namchi chairs a meeting for Special Summary Revision of Electoral Roll 2024-2025

Namchi, November 12 (IPR): A meeting for Special Summary Revision of Electoral Roll 2024-2025 was held at District Collector’s chamber in Namchi, today.
The meeting was presided by Ms Anupa Tamling DC, Namchi.
Present during the meeting were Ms Bhumika Chettri Deputy Secretary Election Cell Namchi, along with the regional political parties members.
The main agenda of the meeting was to hand over the draft electoral roll to all the political party w.r.t qualifying date as 01.01.2025.
During the meeting, DC Namchi provided an outline of the various processes and activities for the electoral roll campaign. She emphasized the significance of conducting a thorough and transparent screening for the electoral roll campaign.
DC Namchi also emphasized the schedule for the special summary revision of the electoral roll for 2024, where she discussed pre-revision and revision efforts over a set period of time.
The activities included, Publication of Integrated draft electoral roll and Period for filing claims and objections, Special campaigns dates, Disposal of claims and objections, Checking for health parameters and obtaining commission’s permission for final publication and Updating database and printing of supplements and Final publication for electoral roll.
DC Namchi insisted the members of political parties to work together to examine the claims and objections until the In order to ensure a seamless processing, she also encouraged the members to follow up with the Indian Citizenship Act.
The purpose of special summary revision is to archive a good quality electoral roll, pre-revision activities and revision activities.
