DC Namchi Chairs Review Meeting on Panchayat Competition for Independence Day 2025

Namchi, June 4 (IPR) A review meeting was held today to assess the progress of Panchayats in achieving saturation under nine flagship government schemes. The competition aims to select the top two Gram Panchayat Units (GPUs) for special guest invitations during the Independence Day 2025 celebrations.
DC Namchi Ms Anupa Tamling asserted the need for a fair and rigorous evaluation process, instructing officers to ensure transparency and avoid favouritism. Officials were directed to verify that each Panchayat meets at least 80% saturation across the designated schemes.
She reviewed the ongoing work and current standings of the Panchayats. ADC (dev) Ravangla and Namchi were tasked with monitoring the progress. The final selection will be based on verified data and adherence to the saturation targets.
The schemes under review include:
– Har Ghar Jal Yojana
– Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna (Gramin)
– Mission Indradhanush
– Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojna
– Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojna
– PM Vishwakarma Yojna
– Saksham Anganwadi and Poshan 2.0
– Kishan Credit Card Scheme for farmers
– PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojna
Also present during the meeting were ADC Namchi Ms Tirsang Tamang, CMO Namchi Dr S N Adhikari and officials from the line department.
