DCC-cum-DLRC Meeting for December 2024 Quarter Successfully Held in Namchi

Namchi, March 13 (IPR): District level Consultative Committee (DCC) cum District level review committee (DLRC) meeting for the December 2024 Quarter was successfully conducted at the Conference Hall of DAC Namchi, today.
Present during the meeting were Mr Subash Ghimirey ADC (HQ) Namchi, Mr Rupen lamichenny AGM-DDM NABARD, Mr Sohan Singh Rajpurohit LDO RBI, Mr Pradeep Bhandari credit consultant Horticulture and Agriculture Department, Ms Nirmala Moktan Additional Director Agriculture Department, Mr Anit Lamichanny LDM, Managers from different banks, and other line departments.
The meeting commenced with an overview of agenda and various departmental activities and credit plan in the district.
Mr. Subash Ghimirey in his address, reviewed the bank achievements and emphasised the need to work in coordination with the relevant departments and urged everyone to put in more effort to improve performance in other priority sectors. Additionally, he commended high performing banks and encouraged others to adopt best practices to achieve their targets. Lastly, he directed everyone to strive for better results in the next quarter.
Mr Rupen Lamichenny interacted with participants and identifying key issues addressing sector-specific challenges and encouraging proactive planning to drive progress and meet targets. He urged to the banks who are below of 60% come to over 100% in next quarter.
During the program, a detailed agenda-wise review of banks in south sikkim for the quarter ending on 31.12.2024 was discussed in an interactive session between branch managers and participants.
The agendas discussed are as follows:
• Follow up of action points that emerged from the DCC meeting held on 18:11:2024 on action point, action centre, action taken.
• Credit -deposit ratio
• Review of annual credit plan 2024-2025 (priority sector).
• Sector wise achievements.
• MSME sector.
• Other priority sector.
• Non-priority sector.
• Review of govt sponsored schemes- PMGY, PMEGP sponsored by DIC, PMEGP sponsored by KVIC, PMEGP sponsored by SKVIB 2024-2025.
• Social security schemes (PMJJBY, PMSBY, PMJDY).
• Promotion of self-help groups (SHGs).
• Kisan credit card.
• Kisan credit card animal husbandry.
• Housing finance scheme
• Education loan
• Expanding and deepening of digital payments ecosystem.
Further, RBI also directed BLBC nodal branches need to conduct quarterly BLBC meetings in their respective blocks.
This program provided a collaborative space for bankers, government officials, and stakeholders to exchange ideas, address challenges, and identify strategies for advancing economic growth and financial inclusion in the district.
