DEO Namchi conducts meeting with political parties at DAC

Namchi, May 22(IPR): Ms Annapurna Alley DC cum DEO chaired a meeting regarding the counting centre for General Elections, 2024 at District Administrative Centre, today.
The meeting had the presence of Sr SP Dr T N Gyatsho, ADC(Namchi) Mr Anant Jain, ADC(HQ) Mr Subash Ghimirey, ROs, AROs along with the candidates and representatives from various political parties under Namchi District.
During the meeting, the DEO informed about the various aspects of the counting process, scheduled on 2nd and 4th of June 2024. she also briefed about the first level checking, various frisking areas and counting halls dedicated to the particular constituencies. She also informed that Electronically Transmitted Postal Ballot System (ETPBS) will be scanned thoroughly at the centre and shared the numbers of Postal Ballots received for 8 Assembly Constituencies including Sangha and Parliamentary Constituency.
Likewise, ADC Namchi briefed the counting procedures pertaining to the counting process on EVMs and Postal Ballots. On the day of counting, he informed that the entire counting process will be observed by the General Observer. He also informed about Form 18, which must be procured mandatorily by the counting agents during that day.
Additionally, Sr SP also highlighted on traffic management and proper enforcement of law and order on the entire premises of the counting centre. He also shared those various locations has been selected for the representatives and supporters of different political parties, for SKM-Kisan Bazaar, SDF-Bhaichung Stadium and Namchi Senior Secondary School will be the venue for BJP, CAP and others. He also urged the representatives to maintain peace and harmony ensuring the safety and security of the public.
Later, the DEO, ROs and AROs along with the representatives of political parties inspected the counting centre established at Namchi Government College Kamrang
