Namchi, February 24- (IPR): District Level Neighbourhood Parliament organised by Nehru Yuva Kendra Namchi, in collaboration with Namchi Government College was held at the auditorium of Namchi Government College, today.
The program aimed to provide an institutional platform for young people to express their opinions on a range of issues and bring attention to the local government’s concerns that affect their daily lives.
Principal, Namchi Government College Dr. Deepak Tiwari graced the occasion as a Chief guest. He was accompanied by other dignitaries and a large number of enthusiastic young students from Namchi region. The students had an opportunity to speak up and share their thoughts on a variety of issues that were important to them, including education, employment, and the environment.
The lectures and video sessions on G20 were the highlight of the event. They educated the youth about the importance of global cooperation, sustainable development, and the issues that affect their daily lives. The group dances and quiz competitions added a fun element to the event and kept the audience engaged, making it an enjoyable and informative experience for all participants.
This was followed by a mock parliament session, where the students simulated parliamentary proceedings to showcase the functioning of parliament.
The program was a great success, with young people taking an active role in expressing their views on various issues that concern them. It was a positive step towards creating a more engaged and participatory society, where the youth were involved in the decision-making process.
