District Task Force coordination meeting at DAC Namchi

Namchi,21st July (IPR) : District Magistrate Namchi Mr. Bharani Kumar chaired a coordination meeting regarding District Task Force at his chamber, today.
The meeting was also attended by CMO (Health) Dr. D.C. Sharma, SDPO (Namchi) Mr. Parsuram Sharma, DSO (Health) Dr. Urgen Sherpa, Deputy Director (Education) Mrs. Angela C. Chingapa, CDPO (Namchi) Mr. Laxman Tamang, AD (Labour) Mr. Mohan Chettri, MEO (NMC) Mr. Lakpha Sherpa, DRCHO (Health) Dr. Junita Yonjon and Senior DPHNO Mrs. Bijaylaxmi Rai.
The Main agenda of the meeting was to discuss about the almaring rise of Covid cases in Namchi District.
During the meeting DRCHO Dr. Junita Yonjon presented a data of the positive cases and expressed that this time the cases are more prominent in the age below 18 years, although more than 18 years are also found postive. She informed that more of the cases are coming up from schools and colleges. She further added that there are still many who are reluctant to be vaccinated, especially below the age of 18 years.
Addressing the meeting DC Namchi said that the rising cases of Covid has become a major concern and it should be taken seriously. He advised that each and every institutions should strictly follow covid protocol and that every institution should be vigilantly monitored. He added that if any case is found, it should be brought to the notice immediately and two days closure of the institution should be followed accordingly. He further advised to visit all the institutions and vaccinate those students who have not been vaccinated yet. He also advised to make people more aware and insist them to strictly follow covid protocol especially in public places. He also discussed about the ongoing precautionary vaccine at Bhaichung Stadium.
