DM Namchi inspects disaster prone areas under Namphing Gram Panchayat Unit

Namchi, 9th June: District Collector (Namchi) Mr. M. Bharani inspected the disaster prone areas under Namphing Gram Panchayat Unit. He was accompanied by SDM (HQ) Mr. Chiran Rizal, BDO (Temi) Mr. Prem Kumar Subba, GM (NHIDCL) Mr. Subash Bhaumik, Sr Geologist Mr. Passang Sherap, DPO (Namchi) Mr. Abhishek Kharel and other field officials. The objective of the visit was to assess the quantum of damage along Tarku Singtam NH 510 and the possibility of threat the damages posed to life and property.
The DC and his team thoroughly inspected damages at Lower Namphing (Adarshgoan). Measures to be carried out to prevent slides and future course of action was also discussed in detail.
Additionally, the team also inspected Lower Namphing Primary School, Namphing Secondary School, Namphing GPK, Chalamthang Community Hall and Chamlamthang Power Grid Sub Station Centre. Moreover, he alongwith the team also visited Shidhi Devi Mandir which is set to be inaugurated on June 13th.
