Expenditure Observer for Namchi District visited 15- Rangang-Yangang and 14-Temi-Namphing constituencies to assess the preparedness and the on going activities related to election monitoring in view of the General Elections, 2024

Namchi, April 1(IPR): Mr Lalhmingmawia Ralte, Expenditure Observer for Namchi District visited 15- Rangang-Yangang and 14-Temi-Namphing constituencies to assess the preparedness and the on going activities related to election monitoring in view of the General Elections, 2024.
He was accompanied by Mr Kumar Subba,
Assittant Returning Officer(ARO) and Mr Sonam Thendup, Sector Police Officer(SPO).
During the visit, the Expenditure Observer conducted a brief meeting at BAC Yangang to review the functioning of election officials.
During the meeting, he directed the Flying Squad Team(FST), Static Surveillance Teams (SST) and Booth Level Officers(BLOs) to take necessary measures and emphasized to remain vigilant inorder to conduct free, fair, transparent and inclusive election.
On his visit, the EO enquired about the basic necessary facilities available at the polling stations of the constituencies for the convenience of voters.
The EO urged the officials for compulsory casting of votes according to the strict guidelines of the Election Commission of India(ECI).
He emphasised to check on moving vehicles with oversized party flags.
EO informed the specific prescribed size of the flag is 3×2 ft for four wheeler and 1×1/2 ft for two wheeler as per the guidelines of Election Commission of India.
