Final day of filing of nominations

Namchi, March 27(IPR): On the final day of filing of nominations, a total of thirty candidates filed nominations representing various political parties across seven Assembly Constituencies (AC) under Namchi District in the Office of Returning Officers at the District Administrative Centre, Namchi, today.
Under 09 Barfung AC, Mr Bhaichung Bhutia-Sikkim Democratic Front(SDF), Mr Dadul Lepcha- Citizen Action Party(CAP), Mr Rikshal Dorjee Bhutia-Sikkim Krantikari Morcha(SKM) and Mr Tashi Dadul Bhutia- Bharatiya Janta Party(BJP) filed their nominations.
Likewise, under 10 Poklok-Kamrang AC, Mr Arjun Rai (BJP), Mr Bhoj Raj Rai (SKM), Mr Pawan Kumar Chamling (SDF) and Mrs Sanju Rai (CAP) filed their nominations. A substitute nomination was also submitted by Mrs Komal Chamling as a SDF candidate for the said constituency.
Under 11 Namchi-Singhithang AC, Mrs Aruna Manger (BJP), Mr Bimal Rai (SDF), Mrs Krishna Kumari Rai (SKM) and Mr Mahesh Rai (CAP) were the candidates filed their nominations.
For 12 Melli AC, Mr Nar Bahadur Pradhan (SKM), Mr Nirmal Kumar Pradhan (SDF)and Mr Yogen Rai (BJP) submitted their nominations. Mr Girish Chandra Rai also from BJP tendered his nomination in the same constituency. Whereas, Mr Shiva Kumar Rai also submitted his nomination as a substitute candidate from SDF.
Similarly, for 13 Namthang-Ratyepani AC, Mr Hari Chandra Chettri (CAP), Mr Janak Kumar Gurung (BJP), Mr Sanjeet Kharel (SKM) and Mr Suman Pradhan (SDF) submitted their nominations.
Mr Bedu Singh Panth (SKM), Mr Bikash Sharma (CAP), Mr Bhupendra Giri (BJP) and Mr Suman Kumar Tewari(SDF) filed their nominations for 14 Temi-Namphing AC.
Further, the candidates who registered their nomination for 15 Rangang-Yangang AC were Mr Anil Kumar Nepal(CAP), Mr Gopi Das Pokhrel (BJP), Mr Mani Kumar Subba(SDF), Mrs Raj Kumari Thapa(SKM) and Mr Rup Narayan Chamling (Independent).
Altogether, a total of thirty-two candidates have filed nominations till today in Namchi District. The scrutiny of nominations will be carried out on 28 March at 11am and the last day of withdrawal is 30 March.
