Fit India Cycling Event Promotes Health and Fitness in Namchi

Namchi, 20 April (IPR):The Fit India Sunday on Cycle with Journalists event was successfully held today in Namchi under the banner of the National FIT India campaign.
The event, aimed at encouraging a healthier and more active lifestyle, was flagged off by District Information Officer (DIO) Namchi-Ms Deepti Pradhan. The cycling route began and concluded at the Sports Training Centre (STC), Namchi, extending up to the Helipad.
Organised by the Sports Training Centre (STC) Namchi, under the aegis of the Sports Authority of India (SAI), the event carried inspiring themes such as “Cycle for a Fitter & Healthier Future” and the slogan “Pedal2Fitness and a Pollution ka Solution”. This Cycle rally was part of a nationwide initiative conducted simultaneously at over 1,000 locations.
A total of 30 participants joined the rally, including staff members of Information and Public Relations Department Namchi,Journalists of Namchi and Volunteers of Nehru Yuva Kendra Namchi.
The event was also attended by Mr B S Malik -Accounts and Programme Assistant NYK Namchi, Mr Rupen Pradhan Incharge of SAI Namchi along with staff of SAI, STC Namchi.
The event highlighted the importance of regular physical activity and aimed to foster a culture of fitness among citizens. Through such initiatives, the FIT India Movement continues to make strides in building a healthier, more energetic nation.
