General Observer for Namchi District visited three polling stations under Namchi District to take stock of arrangements for General Elections 2024

Namchi, March 31(IPR): Mr Amar Nath Upadhyay, General Observer for Namchi District visited three polling stations namely Tokday JHS, Lingmoo SSS and Namphok SS of 15 Rangang-Yangang Assembly Constituency(AC) under Namchi District to take stock of arrangements for General Elections 2024, today.
The General Observer was accompanied by Mr Kumar Subba, Assistant Returning Officer (ARO), Mr Mukesh Jairu and Mr Ajay Rai, Sector Magistrates, Mr Tulsi Thapa and Mr Sonam Thendup, Sector Police Officers along with the Block Level Officers(BLOs) of the 15 Rangang-Yangang AC.
During the visit to the polling stations, the GO enquired about the adequate measures and other basic facilities that have been undertaken for Senior Citizens, infirm and differently abled voters.
Talking to the BLOs, the GO asked about the voters turnout percentage in the area, and emphasized them to conduct more awareness and sensitize voters for better voter turnout. He also exhorted them to comply with the guidelines of Election Commission of India(ECI) for free and fair elections, and also sought cooperation from everyone in this regard.
The Sector Magistrates also briefed the GO about the arrangement put in place for the smooth conduct of election, and further informed about the various teams that have been deployed with regard to monitoring of election expenditure, manpower, surveillances etc.
