Hon’ble Governor’s Visit at Old Age Home, Namchi Spreads Joy and Generosity

Namchi, 3rd October (IPR): Hon’ble Governor Shri Lakshman Prasad Acharya Celebrated his 69th Birthday with Elderly Residents of Old Age Home and Students of JNMI. In a heartwarming gesture on his birthday, the Honourable Governor paid a visit to the Old Age Home, Namchi where he met with elderly residents and students of the Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Institute (JNMI).
He was accompanied by DC(Namchi) Mr. M. Bharani Kumar, ASP(Namchi) Mr. Karma Chedup Bhutia, ADC Namchi Mr. Anant Jain, chairpersons and other officials from Namchi district.
The Governor expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the students, elderly residents and staff of Old Age Home and JNMI for organising such a beautiful programme in honour of his birthday. He commended the exceptional talents of the JNMI students and extended his appreciation to the institution’s in-charge.
Hon’ble Governor took a moment to bless the students of JNMI. He also sought blessings from the elderly residents of the old age home. Additionally, he generously donated Rs 1 lakh to both institutions, ensuring support and progress for the institution.
The programme was filled with musical performances by the students of JNMI Namchi. In addition to his benevolence, the Governor distributed essential items, including 30 blankets, 30 bedsheets, and a food warmer to JNMI, while the Old Age Home received a water purifier, food warmer, and 40 pcs of woollen caps, further enhancing the comfort of the residents.
The students of JNMI took the opportunity to engage with the Hon’ble Governor, asking thought-provoking questions like overcoming failures and seeking guidance on various life aspects. In a touching moment, the Governor even sang a few lines of “Bache Maan Ke Sachche” at the request of a JNMI student.
Following the visit, the Hon’ble Governor proceeded to Siddheshwar Dham and offered his prayers to Lord Shiva, reaffirming his spiritual connection on this special day.
