Identification, Screening and Assessment of Persons with Disabilities under Namthang Block

Namchi,11th Jan ( IPR) : Identification, Screening and Assessment of Persons with Disability organised by Women & Child Development Department was held at Health and Wellness Centre, Namthang, today.
The program was conducted under the guidance of Hon’ble Minister Women and Child Development Mr. Sanjeet Kharel in collaboration with CRC-SIKKIM and Ujyalo Project.
The program had the gracious presence of Hon’ble Minister Mr. Sanjeet kharel, Hon’ble Panchayats, Joint Commissioner Women and Child Development Department Dr. M B Chettri, Assistant Commissioner Mr. Prem Narayan Pradhan, Deputy Director Women and Child Development Department, Namchi Mr Nakul Rawat, BDO Namthang Mr. Yogen Syangden, Inspectors of Women and Child Development Department, Namchi, Team member of District Disability Rehabilitation, Composite Regional Center, Assam Lingzey, Resident Coordinator Ms. Irish Moirangthem, Project Assistant Mr. Rozen Pradhan and team (Ujyalo Project).
A total of 226 people had registered to avail the treatment. During the program, Disability Certificates were issued and Unique Disability IDentity (UDID) enrolment was also done.
Likewise Eye testing was conducted and spectacles were distributed by Ujyalo Project.
The IS&A of persons with disabilities were treated by the following Medical Professionals of District Hospital Namchi :

3. Dr. Sikha sharma (Psychiatrist)
,4. Ms Kavya Rai, (Clinical Psychologist)
5. Dr. Tshering Bhutia, (Opthalmologist)
