International Day of Yoga at Namchi District

Namchi, 21st June (IPR): The 9th edition of the International Day of Yoga, was observed at prime locations namely Samdruptse, Siddheswara Dham, Bhaichung Stadium and at Namchi Girls’ Senior Secondary School, today. The event across the venues was organized by 4th Sikkim Battalion NCC alongwith many other local stakeholders.
The event had the participation of NCC cadets, DIET Namchi, Sports and Youth Affairs Department accompained by people from various walks of life,students and other members.
The theme chosen for this year’s International Day of Yoga 2023 is “Yoga for Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam,” which beautifully encapsulates our collective aspiration for “One Earth, One Family, One Future.”
The primary objective of the International Day of Yoga is to raise awareness about yoga as a holistic practice for mental and physical well-being. This observance holds great importance in shedding light on the importance of psychological and physical wellness in today’s world.
