‘Jal Shakti Abhiyan’ catch the rain, 2023

Namchi,1st June(IPR): Director, Ministry of Home Affairs cum Chief Nodal Officer, Ms. Monalisa Dash visited various project sites at Ravangla sub-division, today. Her visit was regarding ‘Jal Shakti Abhiyan catch the rain, 2023′, campaign.
She was accompanied by ADC(Dev,Namchi) Dr. C.P Rai, ADC (Dev, Ravangla), Mr. Sunil Mothey, BDO (Ravangla) Mr. Sanjeev Das Rai, Scientist(Hydrogeologist) Mr. Bibhuti Bhusan Saha and other officials from the line departments.
During the tour, Chief Nodal Officer interacted and discussed in detail the issues faced by the public due to the scarcity of water. In addition, she also reviewed on various methodology used in reservation and conservation of water that has benefited the public at large. Further, she also urged them to conserve water for the sustainability and for other ecological benefits.
At Ravangla sub-division the Chief Nodal Officer visited various places namely water harvesting tank at Rayong village, Doling lake, Menlong Tso lake followed by a stop at Mansarovar lake at Tathagata Tsal.
It may be mentioned here that the Jal Shakti Abhiyan, catch the rain, 2023, themed, ‘Source Sustainability for drinking water’ is a nation wide campaign focusing on saving and conserving rainwater in both the urban and rural areas of all districts in the country.
