Krishi Vigyan Kendra Namthang organizes three days Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) Training Programme

Namchi, 26 June : Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) Training Programme, a three-day skill training programme certified by the Agriculture Skill Council of India (ASCI) commenced on 25th June at Krishi Vigyan Kendra Namthang.
The Skill training programme with the Job Role as Vermicompost Producer was held for the 40 progressive farmers who are the members of Rong Bul FPO Co-operative Society Ltd.
During the inaugural session the Senior Scientist and Head, KVK Shri. Indra Prasad Shivakoti welcomed all the participants and motivated the farmers to take full advantage of the training programme in obtaining technology guidance for vermicompost production.
The Course co-ordinator of the skill programme- Dr. Pravesh Shivakoty Subject Matter Specialist (Plant Protection) highlighted on the aspects and avenues of the skill programme for uplifting the FPO to take up small scale business on vermicompost production. He also briefed on the three-day skill programme and the assessment that will be held on 28th June by ASCI after which the candidates will be certified Vermicompost Producers.
During the technical session the detailed job roles as per the Qualification Packs of Vermicompost Producer laid down by ASCI was given through PowerPoint presentation mode by Subject Matter Specialist (Horticulture)- Yangchenla Bhutia.
