Launch event of the Special Summary Revision (SSR) w.r.t 01.01.24 organised by Namchi District at District Administrative Centre

Namchi,18th October(IPR): The Launch event of the Special Summary Revision (SSR) w.r.t 01.01.24 was organised by Namchi District at District Administrative Centre, today.
The launch event was chaired by DC(Namchi) cum District Election Officer Mr. M Bharani Kumar, He was accompanied by SDM Namchi, Mr.N K Karki, SDM HQ, Mr. Gopal Kumar Chhetri, Assistant Collector,Mr Pulkit along with the DS Election, Booth Level Officers’(BLOs) of Assembly Constituency (AC) 11 Namchi Singithang and representatives of political parties from BJP, SDF and SKM.
The DC shared about the importance of SSR and its relevance in the state. He also advised representatives of political parties to appoint booth level assistant for smooth functioning of the SSR activities.
It was informed during the event that SSR will begin from 17.10. 23 to 09.12.23, whereas its claims and objection starts from 17.10.23 to 09.12.23. Similarly, the disposal of claims & objections is scheduled to be on 26th December 2023.
It was discussed that how Election Commission of India(ECI) is focusing on the enrollment of the PwDs and urged the officials to maintain coordination from polling parties to enroll PwDs as well.
