Mere Yuva Bharat conducts One-Day workshop on Central Flagship Schemes in Namchi District.

Namchi, September 8th(IPR): My Yuva Bharat ( Mera Yuva Bharat) formerly known as Nehru Yuva Kendra, under the aegis of Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India organised a one- day workshop on central flagship schemes at the District Institute of Education and Training ( DIET) Namchi, today.
The workshop aimed to create awareness and understanding of various centrally sponsored flagship programmes that play a vital role in empowering citizens and promoting extensive development. The initiative sought to sensitize participants, particularly the youth about the opportunities and benefits available under these schemes. Thereby, encouraging them to take an active role in the development of their communities and the nation as a whole.
Principal DIET Namchi Ms Bandana Chettri graced the programme as the Chief Guest.
In her address, she expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the entire team of Mera Yuva Bharat and lauded the presence of resource persons from various line departments. She highlighted the importance of flagship programmes in imparting knowledge and awareness among the youth and urged everyone to work collaboratively for a better and brighter society.
Mr Bhim Narayan Rai stressed the significance of grassroots-level awareness, stating that empowering rural communities ultimately leads to more empowered youth.
Ms Angela Bhutia provided a comprehensive overview of national programmes aimed at ensuring quality education and improving learning outcomes.
She highlighted initiatives such as, PM Poshan, National Merit Scholarships and NIPUN Bharat which are implemented under flagship schemes. She also mentioned successful state-level initiatives like the CM Meritorious Scholarship Schemes, CM Mentorship Programme and HIM Jyoti Scheme, which has set benchmark in the state.
While, Mr Kishor Banga addressed pressing issues concerning the youth, including HIV prevention, suicide awareness and drug addiction,urging collective efforts to combat these challenges.
Present during the programme were, Nehru Yuva Kendra (APA) Mr BS Malick, Vice President 36-Assangthang GPU(RDD)Mr Bhim Narayan Rai, President Sikkim Aids Control Society (SACS) Mr Kishor Banga, Managing Director (MD) cum co-founder Skill Campus Namchi Ms Anju Pradhan, Youth Activists Mr Pragyan Deep Gurung, Nikheal Chettri and staff and faculty DIET Namchi and students.
