Mountain Rush Roars Ahead: Flagged Off from Ravangla

Namchi, April 25 (IPR): The Mountain Rush – Sikkim TSD Rally 2025 shifted into high gear today as the engines fired up for Leg 3, flagged off from the scenic town of Ravangla Helipad. Marking the beginning of the most technically demanding stretch of the rally, participants are now charting a thrilling course towards Jautar, Soreng—navigating through the culturally rich corridors of Yuksom and Dentam.
Known among motorsport enthusiasts as the rally’s ‘navigator’s crucible’, this leg blends unforgiving elevation changes with a tapestry of terrains—from smooth tarmac to treacherous semi-paved tracks, winding through farmland and misty ridge lines.
To tackle the intricate route, navigators were equipped with enhanced tulip charts featuring newly introduced caution symbols—designed to test their alertness and precision under pressure.
FMSCI marshals, in coordination with local law enforcement and SAMSA volunteers, are vigilantly deployed across key checkpoints to uphold safety protocols and environmental discipline, ensuring a seamless flow of the rally through ecologically sensitive and inhabited zones.
As the rally snakes through the heart of West Sikkim, excitement continues to build with each curve, climb, and checkpoint—where every second and every decision counts.
The flag off had the presence of SDM Ravangla Mr Wangyal Sherpa, Mr Karma Pintso Bhutia Ravangla tourism development committee vice president ( RTDC) Mr Wangzing Bhutia Medical Assistant from ravangla PHC , Mr Sunil Rai PI Ravangla.
