Mr Bhoj Raj Rai Minister for UDD Conducts Inspection in Namchi Town

Namchi, March 10 (IPR): Mr Bhoj Raj Rai, Minister for Urban Development Department (UDD), led an inspection team in Namchi town to assess business compliance, unauthorised encroachments, and sanitation standards.
The inspection was conducted as part of ongoing efforts to enforce urban regulations and maintain order in Namchi.
The Minister was accompanied by Mr Satish Chandra Rai MLA 11- Namchi Singhithang, Ms Yogita Rai, Secretary UDD, officers and staff members from line department.
During the inspection, several shops were checked to ensure they were operating with the necessary documentation. Shops found violating regulations and running businesses without valid permits were shut down. The inspection team also examined residential properties that had encroached on government land for personal use. Notices were issued to occupants, giving them 15 days to vacate the unauthorised spaces.
Additionally, unauthorised hawker stalls at Namchi Plaza were removed.
The team also reviewed cleanliness and sanitation condition in different areas across the town.
As part of the inspection, the team visited Kazitar Children Park, Food & Civil Supplies Department and SNT Department in Namchi where they interacted with staff members and reviewed the facilities in the department.
