Namchi District Holds Training Session for Micro Observers
Namchi, 13 April (IPR): The training session for Micro Observers for the upcoming 2024 General Election took place in the auditorium of Townhall in Namchi, today. The training program provided valuable insights on the roles and responsibilities of Micro Observers while enhancing the understanding of their respective duties.
The training programme was graced by Mr Amar Nath Upadhyay General Observer Namchi as the chief guest, also present were Mr Pulkit Assistant Collector Namchi, Ms Bhumika Chettri Deputy Secretary Election Cell (SLMT), Ms Anupama Rai Deputy Secretary (ALMT) and the trainees.
Mr Amar Nath Upadhyay General Observer further elaborated on the crucial role of Micro Observers in upkeeping the integrity of the electoral process. Emphasising vigilance, he underscored the importance of Micro Observers in prompt reporting of irregularities occurring within or around the polling stations. He urged Micro Observers to maintain a keen eye and assured them of support system in place, and encouraged them to confidently report any issues to the General Observer.
Ms Anupama Rai, in her detailed presentation highlighted on the crucial tasks assigned to Micro Observers during the polling day. She provided thorough explanations on their roles, and emphasized the significance of vigilance and accuracy in observing and reporting the irregularities. Further, special attention was given to Critical Polling Stations, she provided in depth insights in handling any potential challenges that may arise in locations assigned to them.
