Namchi Launches Rally and Awareness Programme for Drug-Free Society under Nasha Mukta Bharat Abhiyan
Namchi, September 12(IPR): Under the aegis of the Nasha Mukta Bharat Abhiyan, Ms Anjeeta Rajalim Zilla Adhyaksha Namchi initiated a rally cum awareness programme at Sadam today.
The Adhyaksha was joined by Ms Kala Chettri, Panchayat President, along with Panchayat officers from various departments, SHG members, teachers, and students from Rabitar Secondary School.
While addressing the gathering, the Adhyaksha emphasized the negative impact of drug abuse and called for collective efforts to create a drug-free society. She also highlighted the importance of digital inclusivity and urged the community to work towards building a better society.
Further, she acknowledged the vision of the Chief Minister for the Nasha Mukt Sikkim initiative aimed at making the state free from drug abuse. In-addition she also expressed her gratitude to all participants and partners for their support for the success of this programme.
The rally commenced at Rock Dara and concluded at Zero Gumti Phatak, Sadam.
It is to be mentioned here that a similar rally and awareness program was held across all the GPUs in Namchi district today, aiming to raise awareness among the rural communities as well.
