NDFA chairs Official Press Conference for the upcoming Maghey Sankranti Mela 2025.

Namchi, January 3 (IPR): Namchi District Football Association chaired an official press conference at Conference Hall cum Library NJNP, Jorethang, today.
The press conference had the presence of Mr Madan Cintury, MLA of Zoom Salghari cum Chief Patron of Makar Sankranti Maghey Mela 2025.
The MLA was accompanied by Ms. Monika Rai SDM, Mr. Samten Tamang Panchayat NJNP, Mr Basant Yonzon President NDFA, Mr Raju Pakhrin Treasure NDFA and members of sub-committees of Maghey Mela.
Talking about the event, Mr Raju Pakhrin thanked the Chief Minister for sponsoring the whole event of Chief Minister’s Gold Cup Tournament and acknowledged his endeavour to make the event a grand success.
He also acknowledged about the help from the working committee members of Sikkim Football Association, who acted as a bridge to communicate and invite the participating teams for the tournament.
Mr Basant Yonzon, while briefing the media fraternity mentioned that the tournament will have participation from 12 teams from Sikkim and differnt states of the nation. He also mentioned that the tournament will commence from 9/01/2025 and the final will be played on 21/01/2025.
He also highlighted that both the winning and runner-up team will be awarded with cash prize of 20 Lakhs and 10 Lakhs respectively. He aslo mentioned that the cash award is also sponsored by the Chief Minister himself.
Further, both the President and the Treasurer of NDFA welcomed all the football enthusiasts to come and witness the event and make it a grand success.
