New Born Week observed in Namchi District

Namchi, 16th November (IPR): Namchi District Hospital, Community Health Centre and other Health and Wellness Centres under Namchi District observed ‘National Newborn Week’.
This Week is observed every year from 15th through 21st November to reinforce the importance of newborn health as a key priority area.
This year the theme of National Newborn Week is “Safety, Quality and Nurturing care – Birth Right of Every Newborn”, this event is an opportunity for officials from the health department to work on the child health agenda and renew their commitment towards eliminating preventable deaths of newborns.
