NIT Sikkim partakes in Akhil Bhartiya Shiksha Samagam 2023

New Delhi, 31st July: Akhil Bhartiya Shiksha Samagam 2023 was inaugurated on 29th July 2023 by Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi on the occasion of third anniversary of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
The two-day Akhil Bhartiya Shiksha Samagam, scheduled for July 29 and July 30, aims to create a platform for various stakeholders in the education sector. Academics, thematic experts, policymakers, industry representatives, teachers, and students from schools, higher education institutions, and skilling organizations were come together to share their valuable insights, success stories, and best practices in implementing the NEP 2020.
The delegates of NIT Sikkim have actively participated under the guidance of Director, Prof. Mahesh Chandra Govil, in the inaugural session, Exhibition of NEP 2020, Thematic sessions, Panel discussion, etc.
To be informed here, twelve youth of Yuva Sangam volunteer under the aegis of Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat has performed the Sikkimese traditional and cross-cultural dance of Odisha on 28th July 2023 during the interaction program in the august presence of Hon’ble Minister of Education, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan and Hon’ble MOS, Dr. Subash Sarkar. These youth have also enthusiastically participated and extended the support assistance in different activities, thematic sessions and managing exhibition stalls voluntarily.
Sikkimese traditional performance was also be showcased during the closing ceremony of Akhil Bhartiya Shiksha Samagam 2023 on 30th July 2023. A Sikkimese cultural flash mob was also performed at the exhibition hall by the youth. It is to reiterate that NIT Sikkim is the nodal Institute for Yuva Sangam in Sikkim.
