NIT Sikkim to observe its 5th Convocation Ceremony on April 8th 2023 at Ravangla

Namchi, 5th April: The National Institute of Technology Sikkim (NIT Sikkim) will observe its Fifth Convocation Ceremony on the 8th of April 2023 at Tathagata Tsal (Buddha Park) Ravangla.
The Chief Guest for the occasion will be Padma Shri Dr. Bibek Debroy, Chairman, Economic Advisory Council to the Prime Minister of India and he will deliver the Convocation Address.
Dr. Komal Kapoor, Chairman and Chief Executive Nuclear Fuel Complex, Department of Atomic Energy, Govt. of India will grace the occasion as guest of Honor. Prof. Mahesh Chandra Govil, Director of NIT Sikkim will preside the 5th Convocation ceremony.
This year NIT Sikkim will award the degree to 19 Ph.D., 37 M.Tech. 15 M. Sc. (Chemistry) and 178 B. Tech. students who have graduated in the year 2022 during the Convocation. Established in 2010, NIT Sikkim has been functioning from the temporary campus at Ravangla.
In a short span of 13 years, the Institute has grown to prominence height through the academic excellence, collaborative research, community outreached initiatives and the achievements made by its students and faculty. The current student strength is constituted of 609 B. Tech., 38 M. Tech., 27 M.Sc and 63 students in Ph. D. programmes pursuing the studies across various disciplines.
