Press Release from Education Department Namchi

Namchi, 21 November: A day long training programme for 110 Field Investigators identified by Education Department Namchi for Parakh Rashtriya Sarvekshan 2024 was organised today at PM Shri Namchi Girls SSS.
The programme was attended by Joint Directors DEO Namchi, Mr. D.B Rai and Mr. G.P Sharma, Joint Director Samagra Shiksha, Mrs. Asha Khatri,Deputy Director Jorethang Sub- Division Mr. T.Gyatso, Assistant Director Samagra Shiksha, Mr. Laxuman Adhikari and the Block Heads from all the 8 Blocks of the District, along with staffs from Samagra Shiksha Gangtok and District Education Office.
The programme began with a welcome address by the Joint Director, DEO, Namchi, Mr. G.P Sharma where he also highlighted on the importance of PARAKH Rashtriya Sarvekshan 2024.
Mrs. Asha Khatri, Joint Director Samagra Shiksha gave a brief report on P.R survey 2024.
The main objective of the training was to introduce participants to the PARAKH framework and it’s components.
Mrs. Bandana Chettri, Principal DIET, Namchi and Dr.Raju Sharma, Principal Chota Samdong, Soreng District were the Resource Persons for the training.
The training on PARAKH was highly informative and provided clear understanding of how to assess and support students’ holistic development.The training also included hands on session for all the participants post lunch.
