Swastha Nari Sashakt Parivar (SNSP) Abhiyan
Namchi, 17 September: Swastha Nari Sashakt Parivar (SNSP) is a focused health initiative aimed at improving access to comprehensive healthcare services for women. ensuring they receive essential health screenings, treatments, and support for a healthier future.
The programme was officially launched at CHC Jorethang on 17th September 2025.
The event was graced by SDM Jorethang, Sri Yogen Sangden Tamang, and CDPO Jorethang Sri Prabin Silal .
SDM Jorethang, Sri Yogen Sangden Tamang, shared his views on the importance of health cards, health insurance, and strengthening women’s health services. He assured full support from his department and expressed willingness to coordinate closely with the health department to ensure effective implementation of the initiative.
CDPO Jorethang,Sri Prabin Silal highlighted:
• The ongoing 8th Rashtriya Poshan Maah
• The importance of male participation in nutrition and reproductive health
• Promotion of exclusive breastfeeding practices.
Activities Undertaken During the Programme:(17th sept-2nd Oct 2025)
Health Screenings:
• NCD Screening, including:
• Oral Cancer
• Breast Cancer
• Cervical Cancer
• Anaemia Screening among adolescent girls and women
• Tuberculosis (TB) Screening
• ANC (Antenatal Care) Check-ups for pregnant women
• Haemoglobin (Hb) Testing for all mothers and women of reproductive age
Additional Services:
• Gynaecology Consultation (as required)
• IFA (Iron and Folic Acid) Distribution:
• To pregnant and lactating mothers
• IFA Red Tablets for women of reproductive age
• WIFS (Weekly Iron and Folic Supplementation) for school-going children
• ABHA ID & PM-JAY Card Generation
• Line Listing of suspected NCD and TB cases for follow-up
Personnel Present During the Event were Medical Officer In-Charge (MO I/C),Medical Officers,Public Health Nurse Officer (PHNO),Auxiliary Nurse Midwives (ANMs),Accredited Social Health Activists (ASHAs), All Heads of Departments (HODs) and support staff, IEC Personnel for awareness generation and community education.
The SNSP Abhiyan marked a significant step towards women-centric healthcare.
