Jorethang Rural ICDS Project Launches Five-Day ‘Poshan Bhi Padhai’ Training Programme for Anganwadi Functionaries
Namchi, June 16: The Jorethang Rural ICDS Project today commenced an intensive five-day training programme under the national flagship initiative Poshan Bhi Padhai (PBPB) at the ICDS Meeting Hall, One Stop Centre Building, Jorethang.
The training programme has been designed to comprehensively cover the core modules of the PBPB curriculum, with a focus on advanced Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) methodologies, play-based learning approaches, and strengthened nutritional monitoring at the grassroots level.
A total of 71 Anganwadi Workers (AWWs) and Anganwadi Helpers (AWHs) under the Jorethang Rural ICDS Project are participating in the capacity-building programme. The training aims to equip frontline functionaries with the knowledge and practical skills required to transform Anganwadi Centres into vibrant, high-quality pre-school learning environments.
The inaugural session was attended by CDPO Jorethang, Supervisors, the Poshan Block Coordinator (BC), Nutrition Inspector, and Social Welfare Inspector (SWI).
Over the course of the five-day programme, participants will undergo hands-on training focused on integrating early childhood education with effective health and nutrition monitoring. The initiative seeks to strengthen the delivery of holistic child development services and ensure a strong foundation for the growth, learning and well-being of children across the region.
The programme forms part of the Government’s ongoing efforts to enhance the quality of early childhood care, education and nutrition services through continuous capacity-building of Anganwadi functionaries.
