PRESS RELEASE FROM THE OFFICE OF DEPUTY SPEAKER, SLA

Namchi, 10 May : Under the leadership of the Hon’ble Deputy Speaker of SLA Smt. Raj Kumari Thapa, a significant visit of Lower Gagyong, Yangang, Namchi District was held with the presence of the President of Sikkim Cricket Association (SICA), the Principal Chief Engineer of PWD, the Managing Director of State Bank of Sikkim, representatives from Land Revenue Department SDM Office, Hon’ble Panchayat President Shri D.R. Gurung, Hon’ble Panchayat Member Shri Nimu Lepcha, respected Shri P.B. Gurung, Shri Anil Gurung Youth Convernor, members of Nari Shakti, Youths and village elders.

It is worth mentioning that the Hon’ble Deputy Speaker informed that all land-related demands for the construction of the cricket stadium at Lower Gagyong, Yangang have been fulfilled. A site inspection and field visit were conducted to assess the actual condition of the proposed stadium area.

On behalf of the entire local community, the Hon’ble MLA expressed heartfelt gratitude to the one and only people’s leader of Sikkim for this important initiative.
