NAMCHI, April 2: A picturesque town Ravangla under Namchi District is preparing to host the Discover Ravangla State Level Cho-Dzo Festival 2025, a six-day event celebrating nature, culture, and sports. The festival, set to take place from April 11 to 16, 2025, marks Sikkim’s 50th year of statehood and aims to boost tourism and showcase the State’s rich cultural heritage.

Mr Tshering T Bhutia Minister Tourism & Civil Aviation and Commerce & Industries department visited the festival venue today to inspect the ongoing preparations. He was accompanied by Mr Riksal D Bhutia area MLA Barfung constituency, Mr Narayan G Gurung,l CLC president, Mr Tsheten Bhutia OSD Buddha Park, Ms Anjana Sharma Zilla Panchayat member, along with organizing committee members, gram panchayat representatives, and line department officials.

The festival is being organized by the Discover Ravangla-Cho-Dzo Festival Committee with support from the Department of Tourism & Civil Aviation, Government of Sikkim. A key attraction of the event is the Chief Minister Volleyball Gold Cup, scheduled from April 11 to 16, alongside the Intrastate Volleyball Tournament, which began on April 2 and will conclude on April 16.

During the inspection, Minister Bhutia assessed the progress of arrangements and provided inputs to ensure the event’s success. He shared insights and suggestions to enhance the festival’s grandeur and assured full support and assistance from the Tourism & Civil Aviation Department of the Government of Sikkim.
