Repair and reconstruction of iron bridge on the Sangmu-Dojok road under the leadership of Honorable Area MLA 15 Yanggang Ranggang constituency and Sikkim Assembly Mrs. Rajkumari Thapa Madam completed.

Road and bridge department of Sikkim government has successfully completed the repair and reconstruction of the iron bridge which is in dilapidated condition on Dojophatak, Sangmu-Dojok road. This important infrastructure project was completed under the direction of Hon’ble Area MLA and Hon’ble Vice President of Sikkim Legislative Assembly Mrs. Princess Thapa Madam, and Assistant Engineer of Road and Bridge Department located at Yangyang.

The bridge is an essential contact route for residents of Dojok and the surrounding villages, making it easier to reach market, schools and other essential service facilities. Due to the poor condition of the pre-maintenance bridge, it was very difficult to cross the river especially during rainy season.

The local community has expressed widespread appreciation for this work as the timely maintenance has been completed. The residents of Dojok have expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Hon’ble Area MLA and Hon’ble Vice President of Sikkim Assembly Mrs. Rajkumari Thapa Madam, OSD of Chief Minister Mr. Karma Subba, Hon’ble District Panchayat Member Mr. Yapchung Bhutia, Hon’ble Panchayat Members, Assistant Engineer of Road and Bridge Department, Junior Engineers, Supervisor and all PWD workers.

This project, completed with cooperation, dedication and commitment, reaffirmed that the state government is committed to not only restoring local infrastructure but also addressing the needs of citizens in time.
