R-Day celebrated at Yangang Sub-division

Namchi, 26th January: On the occasion of 73rd Republic Day, a programme was organised at the office of Sub Divisional Magistrate at Yangang.The Programme was graced by Speaker SLA Shri L.B Das as today’s Chief Guest who was accompanied by Shri R.K. Basnett,Yangang (SDM) Smt. Sujata Subba, Yangang (BDO) Shri. Sushil Gurung, SHO Yangang Shri. C.K Subba, MO Dr. Neroline Tamling, AE PWD, Shri. Mukesh Jairu, Panchayat Presidents, Panchayats, Staff of SDM and local gentry.
The day took off by hoisting the National Flag by the Chief Guest succeeded by felicitating the Guard of Honour.
SDM Smt. Sujata Subba read the Republic Day message of Governor of Sikkim. Likewise, BDO Shri Sushil Gurung read the Republic Day message of the Chief Minister.
Chief Guest Speaker Shri L.B. Das accorded his Republic Day greetings to the gathering. He traced back the historical richness of our country and revered the freedom fighters of the nation who liberated our country by sacrificing their lives for the cause of the nation. Speaking about developments brought by the State Government Shri L.B. Das singled out the substantial progress and growth that Sikkim had witnessed in the arena of education, health care, agriculture and tourism amongst many others .
This programme was conducted following the guidelines of COVID-19.
