Review meeting of District Task Force Immunization and PC- PNDT held in DC Office

The meeting was chaired by DC Namchi Mr. Bharani Kumar, ADC Namchi Mr. Anant Jain, CMO Namchi, Dr. D.C. Sharma, Joint Director Education Department Mr G.P. Sharma, DRCHO Dr. Junita Yonzon, DMS Namchi Dr. S. N. Adhikari, DSO Namchi Dr. Urgen Sherpa and the official of Health Department.

Addressing the meeting, DC Namchi appreciated the Health Department for doing the designated work appropriately and advised them to take effective measures to further enhance the health programs.

He further enquired about the rising COVID cases and assured his full support in taking measures to manage it.

During the meeting DRCHO Dr. Junita presented a detailed report of the medical task taken up by the health department of Namchi District. She overviewed about various assignments such as major coverage of Immunization including National Immunization Day, Intensified Diarrhoea Control Fortnight, District Quality Awards, COVID Vaccination coverage under Namchi District which have been carried out in a successful manner. She further updated about functioning of PC-PNDT and briefed about School Health Program under Ayushman Bharat where the educational institutions have to play a vital role inorder to bring awareness about proper health care among children.

Furthermore DSO Namchi Dr. Urgen Sherpa briefly presented the report on rising COVID cases with required date and highlighted about the various reason of the menace. He also said that the recent case of Nairobi files can be avoided by taking preventive measures.
