Second day of the Third Round of Training for Presiding and Polling I Officers

Namchi, 6 March (IPR): The second day of the third round of training for Presiding and Polling I Officers for the General Election 2024 was held simultaneously at two venues, the conference hall of the District Administrative Centre, Namchi and the Zilla Panchayat Office, Namchi.
The Resource person for the training were ADC Namchi Mr Anant Jain (SLMT), Assistant Collector Mr Pulkit for EVM & VVPAT session.
Resource Person for poll day arrangements were SDM (Namchi) Mr Gopal K Chettri (DLMT), SDM (Yangang) Mr Tshering Norgyal Theeng (SLMT), Deputy Secretay Election Ms Bhumika Chettri(SLMT) and Deputy Secretary Ms Anupama Rai(ALMT)
The training covered essential points on Poll Day Arrangments and Acquaintance with polling materials and EVM & VVPAT theory and hands-on training session covering Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) usage and completion of Statutory Forms in preparation for the upcoming General Election.
The training included hands-on sessions on filling out essential forms like Voters Slip, Forms 17-A, 17-B, 17-C, 14, 14-A, M-21, Mock Poll Certificate, and Declaration Form.
During the training important guidelines regarding operations at the dispatch center, arrangements at polling stations, procedures for commencement and ongoing polling, closure protocols, the sealing of EVMs and VVPATs post-polling, sealing of materials, handling of EVMs and VVPATs were also discussed
It is to be mentioned here that a total of 110 Presiding and Polling Officers I attended the training today
