Secretary Sports & Youth Affairs Inspects Sports Facilities in Namchi district

Namchi 28 November (IPR): Mr MT Sherpa, IAS, Secretary Department of Sports & Youth Affairs conducted an inspection of several sports facilities in Namchi district.
During his visit, the secretary inspected Bhaichung Stadium where he examined the premises and proposed minor maintenance work in specific areas requiring repair work.
He also visited the sports hostel complex, where he apprised the warden to focus on a strategic approach for students development and proper supervision with grooming to improve the students performance.
Further, the secretary paid his visit to the office of Sports & Youth Affairs in Bhaichung Stadium Namchi where he Interacted with the Officers and staffs.
Earlier in the day, Secretary visited Tarundeep Rai Archery Academy in Kitchu-Dumra Kamrang to assess the progress of ongoing work at the facility.
The secretary was accompanied by Chief Engineer Ms Milan Pradhan, Mr Richard Lepcha Additional Engineer, Ms Tshering Ongmu Bhutia Joint Director SYA, Mr Basant Pradhan Deputy Director SYA Namchi, Mr Hari Prasad Manger Principal Namchi Sr Sec School alongside other officers and staff of Sports & Youth Affairs.
It is to be mentioned here that the Secretary visited and inspected Jorethang Playground on 27th November as well. The secretary was joined by Ms Monika Rai SDM Jorethang and Mr Pavitra Manav, President of Nayabazar-Jorethang Nagar Panchayat.
