Swachhata Hi Sewa observed by Office of ADC Development Ravangla

Namchi, 21 September: The Office of ADC Development Ravangla observed Swachhata Hi Sewa 2024 by organizing cleanliness drive at the office and area surrounding the office including approach road and nearby community sanitary complex (CSC). The said CSC was also identified as Cleanliness Target Unit (CTU).
The activity commenced with introductory speech by Mr. Sunil Kumar Mothay, ADC Development Ravangla wherein he informed everyone regarding importance of Swachh Bharat Mission and encouraged all staff members to volunteer selflessly in the service of Nation.
The next session included taking Swachhata Pledge by all officers and staff of the office which was administered by Ms. Anupama Rai, Deputy secretary at the office of ADC Development Ravangla. The Staff members were divided in three groups.
The First Group headed by Mr. Sanjeev Sherpa, DEO at the office of ADC Development Ravangla including Mr. D. K. Chettri, Mr. Jeewan Chettri, Mr. Ash Man Limboo, Mr. Suk Bir Limboo cleaned approach road towards office by removing any plastic litter and pruning the wild plants nearby this road.
The second group headed by Mr. Sunil Kumar Mothay and including Mr. Harka Bahadur Chettri, Ms. Smita Rai, Mr. Tashi Tshering Bhutia, Mrs. Numa Rai cleaned CSC and painted its outer wall.
The third group headed by Mrs. Dawa Phuti Bhutia, Undersecretary and included Ms. Anupama Rai, Mrs. Sushila Chettri, Mr. Phigu Rai, Mrs. Dikila Bhutia, Mrs. Puspa Chettri, Ms. Kesang Ongmu Bhutia, Ms. Asenla Bhutia, Mrs. Hemanta Rai, Ms. Sarita Rai and Ms. Phurba Lhamu Bhutia cleaned the nearby area surrounding office including the rooms of office. They cleaned the overgrown weed and grass outside the office and also collected any plastic litter around the office.
The activity concluded with storage of plastic litter in the office, which would be disposed of later in the Resource Recovery Vehicle of Ravangla Block. The CSC and office were visibly cleaner and everyone was pleased and satisfied by the result of their Shram Daan.
