Temi Temi Estate visit of Dr. Rajkumar Ranjan Singh, Union Minister of State for Education and External Affairs

Namchi, 21 November (IPR): Dr. Rajkumar Ranjan Singh, Union Minister of State for Education and External Affairs, visited Temi Temi Estate, today.
He was accompanied by Mr Y T Lepcha MLA Gangtok, Mr Tashi Tshering Bhutia Chairman Tea Board, Mr Ravi Kumar MD Temi Tea, Mr Bikash Tiwari SDPO Ravangla, Mr Gyaltsen Sherpa Joint Director Education Department, Mr Prateek Gautam Assistant Manager, Mr B B Rai Factory In-Charge alongside the tea factory officials and staff.
Mr Ravi Kumar briefed the Union Minister about the Temi Tea processing factory, including the withering, drying, sorting, packaging of the tea which was followed by tea tasting of the varied types of Organic Temi Tea at the factory.
The Union Minister is on a three-day official visit to Sikkim wherein he will be stopping over at various places including Sikkim Supreme Government Food Preservatory Factory, Training Center at Director of Handicraft and Handloom, Passport Seva Kendra
and other places in and around Gangtok.
Further, he will also attend a programme on ‘Capacity Building of Exporters for Enhancing Exports’ on 23rd November.
