The celebration of 77th Independence Day commenced at Bhaichung Stadium in Namchi

Namchi, 15th August (IPR): The celebration of 77th Independence Day commenced at Bhaichung Stadium in Namchi, today. Speaker (Sikkim Legislative Assembly) Mr. Arun Upreti was the Chief Guest for the occasion.
Upon, his arrival the Chief Guest was accorded with a warm welcome by DC (Namchi) Mr. M. Bharani Kumar, Sr. S.P (Namchi) Dr. Tsering Namgyal Gyatso, Chairman Namchi Municipal Council Mr. Ganesh Rai alongside officials from Namchi District Administrative Centre.
During the course of the celebration the Chief Guest felicitated meritorious State Government Employees from Namchi district belonging to various departments. They were also given the certificate of appreciation for their efforts in unwaveringly providing their services in their respective departments. Additionally, a progressive farmer a school student and the best contingent for March past was also honoured.
