The Governor Concludes his 3 day tour of Namchi District

Namchi, 9th May (IPR): Concluding his three-day tour to Namchi District the Governor Mr. Lakshman Prasad Acharya visited various places at Ravangla sub-division, today. He was accompained by MLAs Mr. T. T. Bhutia, Ms. Raj Kumari Thapa, DC (Namchi) Mr. M. Bharani Kumar, SDM (Ravangla) Miss. Trisang Tamang, SDPO (Ravangla) Mr. Bikash Tiwari and other officials.
The Governor visited Densa Palchen Chosling Monastery at Ravangla, VCGL Senior Secondary School, Lall Bazar ICDS (Anganwadi Centre) and Doling Tharlam Changchup Ling Mani Lhakhang and Doling Lake which is under Mission Amrit Sarovar.
At, the monastery the Governor sought blessings from His Holiness 12th Goshir Gyaltsab Rimpoche.Thereafter, he attended a programme at VCGL Senior Secondary School at Ravangla.
While speaking at the school Governor expressed his delight to be amongst young pupils as he stated that being with them was an invigorating experience. He remarked that students should set goals early in their life so as to achieve their objectives and become nation builders. While communicating with the students he urged them to draw inspiration from Ganju Lama the receipent of the prestigious Victoria Cross and make an effort to bring about laurels to the state as well as the nation. Moreover, he applauded the young cadets of the school as he said that they fosters national integration and bring about awareness on various subjects.
The Governor also visited Lall Bazar ICDS (Anganwadi Centre) wherein he inspected the centre and interacted with the Anganwadi workers.
Sharing, his thoughts with them he underscored the significance of Anganwadi workers and the important role that they discharge in early childhood care and education. He appreciated their work as they are responsible for optimal development of young children.
During the course of his visit the Governor also presented amenities namely Projector and water filter to VCGL school and to ICDS.
