The State Level Level Celebration of Tendong Lho Rum Faat will be celebrated in Nali Partam, Lingee on the 7th and 8th August

Namchi, 4th August(IPR): A Press Conference was convened about the state-level celebration of Tendong Lho Rum Faat, 2022 at Nali Partam, Lingee, today.
The press conference was organised by the State Level Tendong Lho Rum Faat Committee, 2022. It had the presence of Cabinet Minister cum Patron Mr. K.N. Lepcha and Cabinet Minister Cum President Organizing committee Mr. Samdup Lepcha along with President of Renzong Mutanchi Ringmom Kurmom (RMRK) Mr. O.T. Lepcha, Convenor Mr. Krishna Lepcha and members of Sikkim Lepcha Youth Association(SLYA) and Renjyong Mutanchi Rong Tarium (RMRT).
Speaking with the media, Patron Mr. K. N. Lepcha informed that this year Tendong Lho Rum Faat will be celebrated with much vigour and grand manner at Nali, Partam on 7th and 8th August. He said that this celebration is a unique and old festival of Sikkim being celebrated by the indigenous Lepcha community.
Keeping in view, it was informed that Chief Minister Mr. Prem Singh Tamang had desired to celebrate the occasion at Nali Partam as this place closely connected with the myths of the Lepcha Community. The Minister underlined how this festival enables the locals to promote the rich tradition and culture which also has an immense scope of rural eco-tourism. Further, he underscored the Government’s emphasis laid on the celebration of festivities of different communities of Sikkim which is focused to bring about peace and harmony.
Addressing, the gathering Minister cum President Organizing Committe Mr. Samdup Lepcha extended his gratitude to the Chief Minister for rendering his assistance to celebrate the festival in a wide-scale manner. He said that this is one of the important festival of Lepcha Community and added that such kind of festivals should be celebrated consistently so that its unique factor can be kept intact. The Minister also encouraged people from all walks of life to join in and extended his cordial welcome to them and celebrate the occasion of Tendong Lho Rum Faat.
It may be conveyed here that the Chief Minister will not be able to attend the celebration due to his prior schedule in New Delhi. However, he has extended his warm regards and greetings to the people of Sikkim during the celebration of the festival.
