Third day of final round training for Polling and Presiding Officers continues at Namchi district

Namchi, April 11 (IPR): The third day of final round training for Polling and Presiding Officers was successfully conducted at Townhall Namchi, today.
The training session was facilitated by Mr Anant Jain SLMT cum ADC Namchi, Ms Bhumika Chettri SLMT cum Deputy Secretary Election Cell, Mr Tshering Norgyal Theeng SLMT cum SDM Yangyang, Mr Gopal K Chettri DLMT cum SDM(HQ) Namchi and Ms Vaishno Rai, ALMT cum Dy Director (Agriculture).
The training session delved into the responsibilities of polling and presiding officers, while providing hands-on experience, statutory paperwork and a simulated polling station exercise.
Trainees also gained theoretical and practical knowledge of EVMs and VVPATs in the training session. In addition to that the IT department showcased the application of the Traccar app for live location monitoring.
The day also saw Presiding and Polling officials undergoing training cast their votes through the Postal ballot at Indoor stadium, Namchi.
