Three units of Fetosense, a smart phone based portable fetal heart monitoring device provided to Namthang, Yangang and Temi PHCs by District Administration Namchi

Namchi,6th July (IPR): The District Administration Namchi provided three units of Fetosense, a smart phone based portable fetal heart monitoring device to Namthang, Yangang and Temi PHCs. The devices were procured with the assistance of Teestavalley Power Transmission Limited (TPTL) under their CSR initiative. The units were handed over to the Medical Officer Incharge of the three PHCs by the Chief Medical Officer/ Namchi, Dr. D C Sharma on 5th July, 2022.
It is pertinent to mention that the three such devices were provided to the District Hospital Namchi, Jorethang CHC and Ravangla PHC in the year 2021 by Namchi District Administration on a pilot basis with an objective to augment health services specifically in the area of maternal health in remote villages of the district. Following the benefits to rural population, the District Administration has expanded this initiative to three more PHCs of the district.
