Namchi, 09 September (IPR): A training and Orientation programme on scholarship schemes was held today at District Administration Centre (DAC) conference hall, Namchi.
Joint Secretary (HQ) Scholarship, Ms Kabita Subba, highlighted various scholarship scheme available for students. She informed that for the academic year 2025-2026, students applying for post matric scholarship under ST, SC and OBC must provide a declaration signed by an Oath Commissioner, especially in case of eligibility criteria and scholarship rates, urging INOs and HOIs to ensure that all institutions complete the eKYC and biometric/face authentication process on time.
Further she added that the declaration of documents from the oath commissioner is needed only for the students of private schools and institutions.
Assistant Director IT (HQ), Ms Srijana Karkidholli, delivered presentation on the technical issues and recent updates of this scholarship portal. She stressed the importance of completing eKYC for institute and engage in an open discussion with INOs and HOIs to clarify technical concerns.
District Nodal Officer, Ms Puspa Rai, presented on the One Time Registration (OTR) process, explaining how students can access scholarship benefits and complete the forms fill-up procedure.
She also informed that the state portal for online application will remain open until 31st October 2025.
The orientation concluded with an interactive session, ensuring that institutional heads and nodal officers were well-informed about the procedures and requirements for smooth implementation of scholarship schemes in the district.
Also present during the programme were, Welfare Officers from SWD, Head of Institutions and Institute Nodal Officers from various Institutions of Namchi District and Welfare Inspectors and members of SWD.
